Refund policy
P/9 is prepaid, so this is simple: what you have spent is spent, and what you have not spent is still yours.
Last updated 10 September 2026
The short version
A summary, so you know what you are reading. The sections below are the ones that count.
- Inference already served is not refundable.
- Credit you bought and have not spent comes back when you close the account. No window, no fee, no reason required.
- The Rs 1,000 we give new accounts is not refundable as cash. No money changed hands.
- A billing error is not a refund request. We correct those regardless of anything on this page.
- To start: email info@paranine.com from the account address.
How paying for P/9 works
P/9 runs on prepaid credits, denominated in Pakistani rupees. You add credit to your organisation’s balance, and inference is debited from it as it is served. When the balance reaches zero, requests are rejected rather than served on credit.
That shape is why this page is short. There is no subscription to cancel, no minimum term, and no invoice arriving after the fact for usage you did not expect. You are never committed to more than the credit already on your balance.
Credit you have already spent
Inference that has been served is not refundable. The request ran, hardware did the work and the cost was settled at the price shown for that route at the time.
Every debit is itemised in your request log with the route, the token counts and the cost, so you can always see what a charge was for. If a charge does not match what you were served, that is a billing mistake rather than a refund request: see section 6.
Credit you have not spent
Unspent credit comes back to you on request. Ask us to close your account and we will return whatever is left on the balance.
- There is no window. Credit does not expire on us and it does not become unrefundable after thirty days, or ninety, or a year.
- There is no fee. We do not keep a processing cut of your own money.
- You do not have to justify it. You do not have to have used the service, and you do not have to tell us why you are leaving, though we would like to know.
A refund closes the account: the balance is what pays for requests, so it cannot be returned to you and remain available to spend.
The Rs 1,000 you did not pay for
Every new organisation starts with Rs 1,000 of credit from us. It is there so you can try the platform properly before spending anything.
Promotional credit is not refundable as money, for the straightforward reason that no money changed hands. The same goes for any other credit we grant rather than sell: a goodwill adjustment, a trial top-up, a credit issued to make up for an outage.
A refund therefore covers credit you paid for. Your balance is a single figure and does not itself separate the two, so we work the refundable amount out from what you actually paid us, and tell you that figure before anything moves.
How to ask
Write to info@paranine.com from the email address on the account, and say you want to close it and have the balance back.
- We confirm you control the account, and confirm the refundable figure with you before anything moves.
- We return it by the route the credit arrived on wherever that is possible, and agree an alternative with you where it is not.
- We will acknowledge the request within a few working days and tell you when to expect the money. How long the transfer itself takes is up to the banks.
- Revoke your API keys before you write, or tell us to. Once the balance is returned, the keys stop working.
Billing mistakes are not refund requests
If we billed you for something we did not serve, we correct it. That is outside this policy and nothing on this page limits it: no window applies, you do not have to close your account, and you get the credit back on your balance or your money back, whichever you prefer.
Send us the request id from the log and what looks wrong about it. Metering is the part of a platform like this that customers can least easily check for themselves, so we would rather hear about it once too often than not at all.
When we would not refund
- Where the account is being closed by us for breaching the terms of service, or where we have reason to believe the credit was bought fraudulently.
- Where a refund would put us in breach of a law or a sanctions rule that applies to the payment.
- For dedicated capacity, which is agreed in a separate written contract. Whatever that contract says about payment and cancellation is what applies, not this page. See dedicated inference.
If we refuse a refund we will tell you why, in writing, rather than leaving the request unanswered.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the version in force when you bought your credit is the one that applies to it. We will not make a top-up you have already paid for less refundable after the fact.
This policy forms part of the terms of service.
