The Pakistan-originated AI Factory previously known as Intelligent Inference has announced its rebrand to Paranine (Para9)
Paranine (Para9), the company formerly known as Intelligent Inference, today announced its rebrand and emergence as Pakistan's first sovereign AI factory: a full-stack platform that produces tokens from frontier open-source models at benchmarked speeds that rival the world's best-funded inference providers, all from infrastructure based entirely in Pakistan.
The launch positions Pakistan alongside France, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, India and Singapore in a growing roster of nations building sovereign AI infrastructure. It also marks the first production deployment of a unified orchestration layer that runs inference workloads across both Huawei Ascend NPUs and Nvidia GPUs from a single API endpoint: two kinds of AI chip, one layer to run AI across both.
The company began with a focused mission, to make AI inference in Pakistan easier to own, control, operate and understand. The paranine name (Para9, stylised as P/9) signals that broader mission: Para evokes parallel processing, the foundational architecture behind modern AI, while nine represents the company's commitment to nines of reliability (99.99% uptime).
Pakistani developers and businesses can access AI models through local infrastructure, billed in PKR, to build chatbots, automate documents, write code and add AI to their products. For existing users, the rebrand changes nothing about the company's products or services, only the identity around them.
Inference was where we started, and it remains the most important part of our foundation. And as we built the orchestration layer across Huawei and Nvidia chips, integrated sovereign compliance, and started serving Pakistan's largest banks, it became clear that what we had built was a factory, not just an engine. The name needed to reflect the full stack and its evolution. It gives us an identity that reflects where we are today, while giving us the space to keep building what comes next.
Ahad KhurshidCEO, paranineThe new identity also makes paranine unmistakable to the banks, businesses and institutions that rely on it. AI is now embedded in how organisations operate, and paranine exists to make that technology legible to the people deciding on it, without stripping out the depth that makes it work.
The paranine identity rolls out across the company's website, social platforms, communications and public-facing touchpoints through September 2026. Everything paranine has built carries forward, the products, the infrastructure and the expertise. Only the name has changed, to match what the company has grown to be.

About paranine
paranine (P/9) is an AI infrastructure company based in Pakistan. It runs an OpenAI-compatible LLM gateway: one API to leading open-source models, with every request metered and billed in Pakistani rupees from a prepaid balance. The gateway, its request telemetry and its billing records run on infrastructure in Pakistan, and the team is building an NPU-native serving stack on Huawei Ascend hardware so that the inference itself can stay in the country too.
